Coding Without Wifi: The India We Can’t Ignore

Let me tell you the story of an India that dreams without wifi, without access to education institutions, without mentors, working low-paying jobs to make ends meet … and hoping to someday create a better future for themselves.

The other day, I was on a call with a young coder. The internet kept cutting.

I got slightly frustrated and asked him if he can check the wifi.

He replied, “Sir, we cannot afford wifi.”

My mind went numb. I realised how small our tech bubble is (where people without Macbooks are looked down upon) when there is a whole world out there trying and fighting against all odds.

This guy has learned to code with whatever limited resources he has. He’s determined enough to find us somehow.

I’m glad he did. Because this is the India I want to push forward. This is the resilient India that I’m building Cactro for.

Where we bet on grit and the drive to change your story.
